Christ is born
Holly wreaths on doors
Reindeer prints on the roof
Icicles hanging from gutters
Santa’s dirty boot prints by the fire
Tinsel round the tree
Mince pies cooling by the window
A present under the tree for me
Snowman sat in the garden
Dasher and Dancer exhusted after a hard nights work
A Christmas pud ready to be eating
Yule log, NO MORE!
Christmas is a fun time
Happy christmas everyone
Reindeer jump up
Icebergs float around in the sea
Snow flakes come down like paper
Tinsel is wrapped around the christmas tree
Merry christmas
Angels sing
Santa Claus
C is for christmas
H is for happy
R is for rudolf
I is for icicle
S is for santa
T is for thinking of God
M is for myrrh
A is for Angels
S is for Santa and Mrs Santa
T is for tree
R is for Rudolfs red nose
E is for elves
E is for Excitment!!!!
Seeing santa rushing through the air,
T can’t go to sleep, all I want to do is stare.
My Mum and Dad always say, “STOP”,
“NO WAY are you getting up at 2 o’clock”,
Santa’s boots are getting polished.
Snow drips in the box and gets demolished.
But the best way I’ve got is,
Making a snowman on Christmas Day
C is for Christ the son of god
H is for happiness brings us together
R is for wrapping paper to wrape our presents
I is for ice hanging from the roof
S is for stars bright in the sky
T is for tunes of snow on the ground
M is for mary mother of Jesus
A is for animals who shared the hay with Jesus
S is for Santa who brings us presents
Wrapping warm in the winter chill,
Sledging down the steep hill
Mince pies and figgy pud
What a wounderful christmas pud
Sitting by the the warm fire
What a wounderful desire
Friends come over and have some fun
Here comes my friend all the way from Clun
I would be…
I would have been an animal
To share my manger hay
I woulkd have been the donkey
Who plodded all the way
I would have been the innkeeper
To provide some shelter
I would have been a wiseman
Bearing the gift ofr gold
I would have beehn a Angel
To sing the choir songs
I would have been a shepherd
The one who carried the lamb
But most of all I’d be a star to see that very day
Snow is falling Christmas morning
As Santa,s finished his round
Now all the presents are on the ground
The Elvs are on a break
And we all have steak
Clouds of white fall on the ground
Loving the snow all around
Advent calender has the last door My chocolate on the floor
Unwrapping my present
Still some left
You go to bed.
You wonder where santa is
couldhe be near you
or could he be flying over the zoo.
You wonder what he’ll bring
or will he bring anything.
and remember that morn
when mary’s baby was born.
You wake up.,
And run into your mum and dad’s room
and say “please wake up soon”
You have a great day
That’s all i have to say!
It was one jolly Christmas,
W hen everyone was asleep,
I went down the stairs,
And had a little peep,
I looked in to a bauble,
On my christmas tree,
I looked into the middle,
And an angel sang to me.
The angel burst out,
With it’s flying friends,
They started singing one great carol,
To the very end.
Christmas has started,
Have a great time,
Rudolph is geting ready,
IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME
Santa’s gone,
Time goes fast’
Merry christmas
And a happy new year
Santa’s is on the way.
Surprise I heard a little Angel,
Fluttering out side,
Perhaps he came from the christmas tree,
Perhaps she came from Santa Santa,
She was out of breath, breath, breath.
And she shunggled onto my bed, bed, bed,
Whith me, me, me,
And she liked me to,
And she gave me some presents toome,
l liked her, her, her.
Christmas is coming,
Hear people humming,
Rudolph with his nose so bright,
In the middle of the night
Santa on his slaigh,
This is a sign to say hurrah,
Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Snow is falling as I’m calling
Holly is prickly
And very tickly
Santa said hello ho ho ho.
Santa is getting ready
Time is going steady
Are you playing
Rudolph saying
To you kanger-roo
Extra zoo
Do you like christmas
I loved your poems and they have inspired us to try to get children from our village to contribute some poems to our website. Happy Christmas from Bottesford.

Dear Clunbury poets
I really enjoyed reading your poems - it reminded me of when we used to make up poems and sing together(we seemed to know hundreds!) Do you remember ‘30 Dirty Birds’
When I looked at your website it reminded me of the fantastic time I had there and how lovely you all were (on most days!) I remember that most of you were very good talkers and that’s probably why you are very good poets! It was great to see your names - it made me feel all tingly.
Well done!!!

Is Santa Magic ?
Santa how do you do it ?,
As you zoom over the snow,
Like a zip flowing up your coat,
which has its special glow.
Santa how do you do it ?,
As you race over the stars,
Like a spaceship zooming out of space,
And landing on planet Mars.
Santa how do you do it ?,
As you travel through the night,
Like a shadow in my bedroom wardrobe,
Which fills you full of fright.
Santa how do you do it ?,
As you glide over the moon,
Like a bird doing loop the loops,
Which lands on the moon, full of gloom.
Santa how do you do it ?.

Christmas Is Here.
December has come,
Shops have put on Christmas things,
And everybody wants some.
Now the time has come,
It’s Christmas Eve,
So believe,
It’s not just for presents,
It’s the time when Jesus was born.
The day is here,
And everyone cheers,
For the time has come,
When Jesus was born,
On that Christmas morn.
