Should ICT be used throughout the curriculum ?
A debate was placed at Clunbury Primary school to set a argument if ICT should be used throughout the curriculum. Clunbury Pupils said what the believed about the question. There were two groups, a group for ICT and a group against ICT. Many arguments have been raised on both for and against sides.
For
It has been argued throughout the country for ICT to be used throughout the curriculum. The pupils for ICT stated that you can do many things on a computer and different activities. They also stated that using a computer is much easier than writing in a book and you can go on the internet to find out different information for different subjects .Stephanie Upton-Roddy stated that in the future ICT will be used throughout most jobs, and learning at a young age at school will help people get a job to earn money.
Against
It has also been argued by many parents that they think it is really bad for their children to be on computers every day. Many children are on computers for far too long, and it can cause bad eye sight and long term brain damage and it may cause families to spend a lot of money buying high tech computers and it could also cause bullying for children without computers.
My conclusion
Overall I came to the conclusion that the for was fair and the against was also fair and I came to the conclusion that I think that ICT should only be used some of the time. Not all of the time.
Should Clunbury Schools P.T.A Fund Class Two’s Fruit?
Over the last few months Clunbury School P.T.A have been funding Class two’s fruit, so they could have a piece of fruit every day. At a meeting this Thursday the P.T.A will be deciding whether to continue funding class twos fruit.
To enable them to come to a decision, class two will have to come to the conclusion whether they should or should not , have fruit every day.
For
It is a nice healthy snack to have in the playground, because it is full of vitamins and it will build up your energy. Every child should have at least five pieces of fruit/vegetables every day, and this may help to come to your five a day.
Against
If children stopped eating the fruit that was provided, the P.T.A would be wasting money, which could be used for other school equipment e.g. Muscle equipment and playground equipment.
My Conclusion
I think having at least five pieces of fruit/vegetables a day would maintain a healthy lifestyle and that each pieces of fruit the P.T.A have purchase will help each child to achieve their five a day!
(I believe the fairest way would to vote on this).
Should ICT be used throughout the curriculum?
On Monday 19 February, pupils from Clunbury school had a debate
Stating, Should ICT be used throughout the curriculum, there were many comments for ICT to be used and many against ICT being used however they held a good debate stating comments to each other conniving the other children.
FOR
I.C.T can help your learning at school and can be used in any subject it can also be used throughout any jobs e.g. doctors and vets
Melissa stated it helps peoples leaning as well as having fun, you can also order on the internet and help save global worming.
Computers may be at high prises but it is worth it for they amount of leaning your child gets.
Against
However using the computers throughout the curriculum can cores health problems and could give you damaged eye site.
Katie stated you waste money on electricity and because computers are such at high prises you can waste money on buying computers as well.
Also many children against say because you are not writing much your handwriting gets messy.
My Conclusion
It is a good idea to have a computer for homework but be careful not to be on it to many times, and not to buy it just to play games on, doctors
Have found out that to many games on the computers can give you
damaged eyes and health problems, but can help you with your learning.
Should I.C.T be used throughout the curriculum?
On Monday 19th February, children from year five and six, class two, Clunbury school. Held a debate about ‘Should I.C.T be used throughout the curriculum?’ However they held a strong debate, they were convincing both sides and they stood there ground, and kept on making points on, if they should or should not, have I.C.T throughout the curriculum.
For
For held a really strong point of why I.C.T should be used throughout the curriculum. Despite the against team, really put them to the test they were trying their hardest to, keep coming with new ideas. Although the against team made hard questions for them to answer, they managed to answer them. This is some of the questions that, they made in the debate: you can install programs that will help you with your learning.
Against
Against held a really strong argument against the For’s. They had really good points of, should I.C.T be used throughout the curriculum? Against were very challenging and they made really difficult questions to the For’s but, the For’s still gave really hard questions to answer, however they still managed to answer them. This is one of the points that they made in the debate: if you are on the computer for to long, it could give you a headache.
My Conclusion
Overall I came to the conclusion that although the argument against was fair, I feel that the argument for was fair. Therefore I believe that a little bit of I.C.T in each lesson, out of the curriculum would benefit each child.
Should I.C.T. be used throughout the curriculum?
Over the years technology has been advancing, one of the most advanced products are computers, everybody wants one, including schools. Over the past couple of weeks there has been a debate at Clunbury C.E. Primary School on whether I.C.T. should be used throughout the curriculum; there have been lots of arguments raised on this subject.
For
Now a days everybody wants a computer even schools want these high-tech machines and here are some reasons why: when you are older most jobs include I.C.T. so if you start at primary school you have better understanding of computers when you are older; it can help your spelling because most computers have spell check. Most pupils like computers and if the pupils like computers shouldn’t they decide?
Against
Despite the fact there are lots of reasons for I.C.T. there are also lots of reasons against I.C.T. being used throughout the curriculum like if you are on the computers all the time you will get bad handwriting and if everybody wants computers the demand will be to high and the company’s won’t be able to make them and the factories that produce computers will need more materials and the factories will produce more Co2 and that will damage the environment.
The conclusion this argument has come to is that some kids like I.C.T. throughout the curriculum and some kids don’t so it would be better if you leave I.C.T. to some subjects and not others.
Should ICT be used through out the curriculum?
On Monday 26th February Clunbury CE primary school discussed and argued whether ICT should be used through out the curriculum? there are many schools discussing this debate. Therefore there are a lot of points, for and Against ICT Clunbury school had a great debate and each child had there own opinion.
Against
Some pupils argued against ICT because they feel it can harm your health, for example eyes and head difficulties. Parents Stated, that if their children were on the computers all the time it would lead to brain damage and blurred vision. Pupils get competitive over computers and will break up friendship between children in and out of school. The pupils for ICT made hard questions, but got a strong response from pupils against ICT.
For
However the other part of the group went for ICT because it helps you with your learning skills. Stephanie stated, that in the future ICT will be used through out most jobs and learning at a young age at school will help people get a job and to earn money. On the computer you can find out research and information, going on the internet you can even keep in touch with old friends and family. Children stated, you can learn a lot from computers and at the same time have a great deal of fun.
Conclusion
From this debate children have learnt a lot about ICT. Some children changed there opinion on ICT and its uses. This debate has told children the good and bad points about ICT.
Should I.C.T be used throughout the curriculum
On Monday 19th February, children of Clunbury school held a debate stating “Should I.C.T be used throughout the curriculum. There were many strong augments and comments between against and for, however they had a good debate to convince people to vote for them.
People were very strong and stated from
Computers you can research information on the net. On most programs they have spell check to help reading and spelling. Also, when you grow up most jobs include I.C.T. You can experiment with computers, find out research and at the same time have fun. You can communicate by email and blogging with friends and people on the other side of the world. Its quicker to order online and in way help stop global warming. When you grow older most jobs include I.C.T and knowing all about I.C.T will help.
People fighting against were stating that people should not use computers all the time due to health problems. Despite they’re fun they cause headaches and bad eye sight and you will lose the chance of learning other subjects. Its impossible to use I.C.T in every subject. It effects neat handwriting. Schools will get competitive against other schools who have not got enough money for computers, competitive leads to bulling or money to buy computer and stealing will
increase.
Its alright to use computers because they can find information and research on all kind of things but be careful with eye problems and bad headaches, so don’t stare at the screen to long and do not just go on computers but learn other subjects and activities.

The title is good it is a question and isn’t too long.
The introduction is done well because it tells the reader morre about the discussion but it is a long sentence so there could be more full stops and commers.
There were strong arguments in the first argument and you used a new para graph for it but it does have a personal pronoun in and it could be better if you put some connectives in, also it states one point of view twice
for argument two there were more strong arguments and you put the best one first, there was a new paragraph.
The conclusion was done really well helps bring all your arguments together and you’re making the reader make up thier own mind which is good but it could be a bit better if you stated your own point of vieew
I did Katie’s.
The title is good because it is done as a question.
The introduction could have been shorter, but it is good.
I think that she has covered both of the arguments.
Katie has remembered to do a new paragraph for the different arguments.
In the conclusion, Katie has told the reader her point of wiew, although she has used personel pronouns.
(Katies argument) the title is a question but a bit too long.told the reader what it is about.you need to add some more to the introduction.you have remembered to use two diffrent paragraphs.in view point two you have used the strongest argument first.you need to do some worck on organising them. you have told the reader about both sides on your conclusion.
james from hope school.
this is jordons.
he hasent used kapitals
kenectives are good
youv used foul stops
letters are not good
katie I think you did the title very good I think you did the first bit very well but at the end you got confuest but on viewpoint 1 you did it very well indeed. I think you did it very good but got confuest at the end. I think you did it’s very well. I think it was very good but a bit more fullstops.
Steph M
The title was the right length and a question.
The introduction tells the reader what the discussion is about but it could be shorter.
Paragraph for argument one includes very strong arguments and a quote although it includes personal pronouns and there is no connectives, one point stated twice.
Argument two includes a quote, the arguments are very strong and the strongest argument is first. But punctuation could be better, there is no connectives.
The conclusion is the right size and it makes sense, it is one of the approved choises, it could be better if you had stated your own point of view.
This is on hope’s argument
Title: Very good you forgot the question mark
Introdution (IFD): Good start and end forgot end spech marks in middle in first person well done.
For argument: Well done you might need a paragh to identify this but it is good other than that.
Against argument: No paragh either. Good first sentans yourarguments are very good well done.
To Steph M
You did say what the argument was about but you put it all in one big sentance, also you forgot to put a question mark on the second lines question and the commas were in the wrong place. The title was good and in a ritorical question. On the against you’ve used you’re strogest argument first and in a good one. The becauses and therefores are used very well in the against paragraph.
To Steph M
Your is as a question but could be a little bit more imaginative. Your introduction said what the argument was about but was one long big sentence. The commas were in the wrong place as well. The introduction only explained one for and none against. The seperate paragraph for each for view point 1 argument was good too. The against argument was stronger though. You haven’t used any connectives in view point 1
i am writing for louise
On the title i think it is good but it could be a bite shoter.
On the introducin you have told the reader what it is about.
On the arguments for you have put for and against in the diffent paragraph but you have not done connectivecs.
On the arguments against you need to do more full stops but you have put for against in diffent paragraph.
