Thank You For The Sun

Thank You for the sun each day
And thanks for the sun that helps me play
Thank you for the sun all around
And thanks for the sun that’s round
Thank you for the sun so bright
And thanks for the sun the gives us light!

Thank you for the sun when it goes out and about
And thanks for the sun when we are happy and we shout
Thank you for the sun when life is sad
And thanks for the sun when it helps us not feel bad
Thank You for the sun when it makes us feel merry
And thanks for the sun when we are watching telly!

Thank You for the sun when were having fun
And thank you for the sun when I am eating an ice bun
Thank You for the sun when we are being random
And thanks for the sun when we are riding on a tandem
Thanks for the sun when were with our friends
And thanks for the sun when this poem reaches the end!

And ones that look like fire
Thanks for the cats that look like me
And ones that set me free

Thank you for the cats that have fluffy fur
And ones that like to purr
Thanks for the cats that meoow
And ones that bow

Thank you for the cats that look proud
And ones that like to croud
Thanks for the cats that beg for food
And ones that like to change their mood

Thank you for the cats that like to lie in the sun
And ones that want to nick your bun
Thanks for the cats that like fish
And ones that lick the dish

And the words that give me glee
Thanks for words that help me read
And to write there’s words I need

Thanks for words that explain myself
And the words in books on my shelf
Thanks for words that spell my name
If we didn’t have words I can’t read again
Thanks for all words they say on a tape
And words I make my self like mape

We say words wherever we go
There’s always a couple of words we know
Thanks for words that are so exciting
Thanks for words that are so inviting
Thanks for words that keep me on the ball
I love words and that is all

Thank you for birds I watch as they pass by.
Thank you for birds the song that they sing.
Thank you for everything.

Thank you for the birds nesting in the trees,
Thank you for the birds looking down on the bunnies.
Thank you for the birds there morning song,
Thank you for there life so long.

Thank you for the Harris Hawk
Thank you for that wonderful sight we see out on a walk.
Thank you for the bright robin red breast,
Thank for the boldness better than the rest.

Thank you for the snow white goose,
Thank you for the reflex’s we have when they are on the loose.
Thank you for those birds high above
Thank you for the things we love.
