I Love Jesus
for everyone
I'm going to heaven.

No, I don't deserve it.
And there is nothing I can ever do to buy it.
No amount of money I can donate,
no deed righteous enough to save myself alone.
I'm not worthy enough, on my own, to claim eternal life...

But I don't have to do anything --
no incense to offer, no prayer schedules, not even going to church every sattarday --
Because it has already been done for me.

That's how much Jesus loves me.
He loves me more than my mom does.
More than any girlfriend I could ever have.
More than someone...

And I love him too...
Not as perfectly.
But I do...
I REALLY DO...

Thank you for the words like me,
Thank you for the words I see,
Thank you for the words like cat,
Thank you for the words like bat,
Thank you for the words like bike,
Thank you for the words like hike,
Thank you for the words like sun,
And that lovely mile I run,

Thank you for that lovely tree,
Thank you for that busy bee,
Thank you for the words I make,
Thank you for the shining lake,
Thank you for the country farm,
Thank you for that big straw barn,
Thank you for that lovely fish,
Sat upon that tasteful dish,

Thank you for that yummy bap,
Thank you for that helpful map,
Thank you for those sturdy shoes,
Thank you for that happy news,
Thank you for the stars at night,
Thank you for the moon so bright,
Thank you for the windy day,
To sail a yacht across the bay,

Thank you for the fishing book,
Thank you for the rod and hook,
Thank you for the food we eat,
Thank you for the comfy seat,
Thank you for the bells that ring,
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you for the lovely earth,
And for my mum giving birth,

Thanks for words that make me look
And words that help me read a book.

Thank you for the words we say
And words that make a happy day.

Thank you for the words that mean
The words that make trees grow and grass green.

Thank you for the words that show
What make the sun hot and the very cold snow.

Thank you for the words that greet
To say take care and take a seat.

Thank you for the words we hear
To know that someone is very near.

Thank you for the words to see
The colours of the rainbow and the sea.

Thank you for all the words we speak
To help us at school every week.
