The Hand
Chapter 1
Alice prodded her twin sister Rosie “have you seen the clock,” Alice whispered,
“Yeah and about time my head hurts after all of this learning,” she whispered back after having a big stretch.
Outside the wind was so strong the trees and leaves were blowing around the place.
As the school bell rattled all the children grabbed their bags and rushed out the door, it was hard to walk against the wind, Alice and Rosie stumbled on some of the stones as they headed to staple ally. “Have you got it” Rosie puffed.
“yeah I think I’ll have a look” Alice grabbed her bag from her back.
“Oh no it’s not here” she shouted in worry. “I’ll have to go back and get it, tell mum I’ll be a bit late” she shouted as she ran back to school but there was no answer Rosie had raced on.
Alice approached the steel gates of the school and walked quickly in, she wondered along the silent hallway were only her footsteps were herd. She then saw that her class room door was locked but the light was on is side. She placed her hand on the cold mettle handle of the door the noise in side the room stopped.
Alice’s hart was beating wildly she could see a shadow walking to words the door and a sharp cocky voice unlike all the teachers. She ran she new it was no one
she know she ran out the door and out the gates her hart was now beating so fast she could hardly breath. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a black car she turned to face the car she just noticed on the window there was writing it said “run run now he got me he’ll get you,” she felt breathing on her shoulder she ran as fast as she could. She could now see the front gate of her house when suddenly she heard someone running after her she looked behind and a man in black was getting closer and closer by the minuet she reached her front gate but the man was no longer there she walked into the house.
“Hi sweetheart sausages and chips for dinner,” her mum boomed immediately “ok, where’s Rosie,” she puffed “watching the Simpsons,” she smiled. Alice walked into the sitting room too find Rosie sitting on the sofa, “ well did you find it,” she whispered
“no, there was someone in the class room,” she whispered back.
“who,” there mum had just walked back into the room
“will talk later not now,” she snapped as their mum was watching them.
Two hours later they were sitting on there beds in there room, “so what happened,” Rosie whispered. Alice and Rosie sat on the beds for 10 minuets with Alice explaining everything that had happened, then they suddenly noticed the black car that was out side the school was now out side there house, seconds after the door bell rang. They could here there, mum answer the door and Alice could recognise the deep cocky voice from in side there class room. Then they heard a packet type of thing “Ok thank you bye” there mum said proudly and shut the door. The girls could hear there mum coming up the stairs, they quickly turned on the TV and lay down on there bed. Just then there mum walked into the room.
“Girls a man just dropped this of he said it was from school you must of left it there” she mumbled and placed the package on there desk. There mum walked out the room “Oh and go to bed” she shouted after she shut there door Rosie grabbed the parcel
“shell we open it” she snapped looking at Alice
“well it is too us” Alice mumbled Rosie pulled up the top corner of the parcel her hart beating faster and faster by the minuet the as the top slip of the parcel was open she pulled out what it was inside Alice watching closely it was out the girls were surprised that the man know that it belonged to the girls it was the Hand…….

I edited and finished my first version of The Hand. Here it is:-

                                                 The Hand
“This is so boring,” Milly moaned to her twin sister Molly" I just want to go home.”
“Well you can soon. Look it’s almost home time,” Molly whispered back “ and keep your voice down!”
The windswept playground was full of crisp packets and leaves blowing about and, by the school gates, a group of parents were huddled together for warmth.
Once Mr. Harris had told everyone to go home, the girls rushed out of the classroom, across the playground and out of the school gates. They ran down Corporation Street and turned right, into the park, to take the shortcut home. Milly suddenly stopped and rummaged in her back pack.
“ Oh no! I’ve forgotten something,” she shouted to Molly” I’ll go back and get it. Tell mum I might be late!” But too late, Molly had already run over the hill out of Milly’s sight …
Milly started running back towards the school, only stopping to pick up her shoe when it flew off her foot. At last she arrived back at school, she ran into the classroom and opened her tray. The small black box was still there nestled at the back. Milly took it out and put it carefully in her bag. She walked out of the classroom and started running through the school gates.
Milly tore down the road, turned right into the park and sprinted the rest of the way home.
Once Milly had got home her Mum and Molly were waiting for her. “
Where have you been?” they asked at the same time,
“I forgot my homework book. I did tell you, Molly”
“ Not like you to be so enthusiastic about you homework, are you
feeling OK?” Mum asked
“Fine thanks.” Milly replied. She ran upstairs and Molly followed. They sat down on Molly’s bed. “ Have a look in this box Molly,” Milly said. She slid the thin black box out of her bag and opened it. Molly shrieked.
“What is it!?” Molly screamed.
“A plasticine hand I made to frighten you.,” Milly said
“All for a practical joke?” Molly asked. “
Yep!” Milly laughed meanly.

The Hand

Joe punched his twin brother John “Almost time to go home and out of this awful boring class,” he whispered firmly. “I can’t wait.”
Outside the howling wind blowing round the playground, one of the window panes rattled. Parents rambling on to each other “So how was your day today” asked one of the mums to another “Fine thanks.” The teacher sent everyone out in there family’s Williams, Craig's, Jones. at that moment Joe and John walked out of the classroom and sprinted home.
On their way home John’s shoe came flying off nearly hitting Joe in the face. “W oh! watch were your shoes going John,” Joe shouted to his brother. “Wait up Joe,” screamed John. Joe didn’t hear John say wait up and sprinted off.

Hope nudged Sarah her twin sister, “Yeh almost time to go home” she wisped
“ cant wait chips for tea”
Outside the wind was picking up and the window pains were rattled .the parents chatted away outside in the playground.
Hope and Sarah ran as fast as they could across the playground dodging the parents. They could not wait to get home, as they got into the high street Hope marched in front of Sarah, Sarah stopped and put her bag on the floor and rummaged through.
“come on slow coach,” moaned Hope, “I want my tea.”
“I’ve forgotten something, you carry and I will go and get it from school replied Sarah.

Back down the High Street darted Alex, into the peaceful playground. The only sound was the birds wildly chirping in the tree tops, and the discreet sound of the crisp leaves and frost crunching under Alex’s cold feet. The bone chilling wind, whipped Alex’s soft brown, wavy hair across her blotchy red face. She swiftly strolled into the school and closed the door. Leaving the cold frosty
afternoon behind her.
Alex ran into the welcoming class room, but something was not rite...Alex paused letting her right foot heavily fall to the ground, she waited for the sound of the front school door to bang shut, but instead she heard a sound of the door creeping open, a frightening sound of somebody
shuffling into year six’s classroom with dirty, muddy shoes echoed in her ear.
She felt her stomach leap up into her dry mouth, she squealed as a tall black figure moved into the class room, but no sound came out. She was frozen to the spot like an anchor stuck to the bottom of the ocean.

The Hand

Ellie kicked her twin sister Sarah from under the table."Hey, what was that for?" Sarah wispered just loud enough for Ellie to hear."Well, if you look at the clock you might know!" Ellie replied in an annoyed voice. Outside, the wind whipped the large, old, oak trees. There was a loud sound of cars and buses arriving at the school gate.
The children one by one walked across the playground to meet their parents and go home on the school bus, except for Sarah and Ellie, they quietly creeped round the back of the school, they climbed over a wire fence. Sarah rushed across a road to a small gap between two houses, they would usually take a shortcut through their. Ellie was stopped by a traffic jam, so she waited on the school pavement."Tell Mum I'll be late home!" Ellie yelled across the road to Sarah, but there was no reply, Sarah had dissapeared.
